  1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Entry into the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry.
  2. Entry is open to all permanent Australian residents. Employees, directors and their immediate families of the Promoter and printers, suppliers, providers and agencies associated with this Promotion are ineligible.
  3. The Promotion commences at 18.00 (AEST) on Wednesday 11 June 2008 and concludes at 18.00 (AEST) on Wednesday 6th August 2008 ("Promotion Period").
  4. To be automatically entered into the Major Prize draw and relevant Minor Prize draw, participants will be required during the Promotion Period to register an account at www.thegreenroad.com.au then:
    • Complete a directions search on Whereis.com, entering a start point and end point and hitting 'Go', then
    • Click on the link to request Sensis (Whereis) to arrange to offset the estimated CO2 emissions from up to 200 kilometres of this trip (based on an average passenger vehicle in Australia with average fuel efficiency using standard unleaded petrol).
    There can be up to 200 trips entered per email address per account which equates to up to 200 entries. One account per email address will be permitted.
  5. Additional entries can be attained by forwarding information about the Promotion to friends by clicking the 'Tell your friends now' button, after completing a request to offset the estimated CO2 emissions from up to a 200km trip (based on an average passenger vehicle in Australia with average fuel efficiency using standard unleaded petrol). Participants cannot send the email to themselves. One additional entry for every referral to a separate email address will be awarded.
  6. The formula for the amount of carbon dioxide emitted from an average passenger vehicle with average fuel efficiency in Australia has been developed by GreenFleet Australia according to the following data:
    • 1L petrol emits 2.5kg of Carbon Dioxide ( Source - National Greenhouse Accounts Factors January 2008, Paragraph 1.2 Transport Fuels, Table 3 Fuel Combustion Emission Factors )
    • Based of the Bureau of Transport & Regional Economics Report 2007, an average passenger vehicle in Australia has a fuel efficiency of 11.2L per 100km (based on standard unleaded petrol) and travels an average of 13,900KM per year.
    • An average Australian car emits 28kg of Carbon Dioxide per 100km.
    • Sensis (Whereis) will pay Greenfleet Australia to offset the carbon dioxide emissions from up to 200km, based on an average passenger vehicle with average fuel efficiency in Australia, for all account holders that have registered in the Whereis GreenRoad Campaign during the Promotional Period.
  7. Only one prize per person/per household will be awarded. SA residents are entitled to win more than one prize.
  8. Entrants can only enter in their own name and the email address provided must be valid. The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of age, identity and proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Proof of identification and residency considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to validate and check the authenticity of any prize claim or entry before awarding a prize.
  9. Entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt by the Promoter. Incomplete or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid
  10. Entries received during the Promotion Period will be entered into the Major Prize draw, and into the Minor Prize draw corresponding with the entrant's date of entry (see Condition 13).
  11. Prize Pool includes:
    • Total maximum prize pool is valued at AUD $16,872 AUD and includes:
      • Minor Prize Pool: The first valid entry drawn in each Minor Prize Draw will each win a Navman S50 portable GPS satellite navigation units valued at $AUD339 (RRP) ("Minor Prizes"). Total value $11,172 (RRP).

      • Major Prize Pool: The first valid entry drawn in the Major Prize Draw will win a Holiday prize to the total value $AUD5,700 and includes:
        • 2 return economy airfares from the winners nearest capital city in Australia to Cairns, up to the total value of $2,500 (including GST)
        • 3 nights accommodation at the Daintree Ecolodge and Spa, in a Rain Forest Spa Villa for 2 people, up to the total value of $3,200 (including GST)
          • A-La-Carte breakfasts each morning for 2 people
          • Interpretive Aboriginal guided walk to the property's waterfall for 2 people
          • Aboriginal Art and Cultural Workshop for 2 people
          • Signature 2 hour Spa Treatment (Walbul Walbul) for 2 people
          • Return transfers from Cairns Airport for 2 people ("Major Prize")
        • The Holiday prize must be taken within 12 months of the major prize draw date.

  13. Prize draws will take place at 2pm (AEST) on the dates outlined in Condition 13, at belong Group, Level 8, 155 George St, Sydney NSW 2000. All winners will be notified in writing within 2 days of the relevant prize draw, and their name published in The Australian newspaper on 10/7/08 (Winners 1 - 12), 7/8/08 (Winners 13 - 26), and 14/8/08 (Winners 27 - 29 and Major Prize winner)
  14. If the prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equal or greater value, subject to state regulation
  15. The Promoter shall conduct such further draws as may be deemed necessary at the same time and place as the original Friday 5th December 2008 to distribute any prizes unclaimed by that date, subject to State Regulation. In the event of any winners, their name(s) will be published in The Australian newspaper on Thursday 11th December 2008.
  16. In the event that the winner cannot accept the prize (for whatever reason) the prize will be forfeited by that winner and an unclaimed prize draw will be conducted as specified in condition 15.
  17. The prize must be taken as offered and cannot be varied. Prize values are GST inclusive and are in Australian dollars and are the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and are correct at time of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value. The winner is responsible for any incidental costs incurred in redeeming the prize.
  18. If the winner is under the age of 18 years the prize will be awarded to their parent or legal guardian.
  19. The Promoter's decision in relation to any aspects of the Promotion is final and binding on every person who enters and no correspondence will be entered into.
  20. The Promoter and their associated agencies, and companies associated with this promotion will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit. Once prizes have left Promoter's premises, the Promoter will not be responsible for any delay in delivery, or failure of safe delivery of prizes.
  21. The winner agrees to the use of their name, image and photograph/s for publicity and promotional purposes, without compensation, and agrees that the Promoter will own copyright in any such images and photograph/s and in all material incorporating the photograph/s.
  22. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  23. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
  24. All entries become the property of The Promoter. All entries that opt in to receive marketing from the Promoter will be entered into a database and The Promoter may use the entrant's names, email addresses and telephone numbers for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide without notice and without any fee being paid unless otherwise advised by the entrant. By entering the promotion, entrants confirm that they allow their details to be used for this purpose. If entrants do not consent to their details being used for future marketing purposes, the entrant should contact The Promoter on their details set out below. Any request to update, modify or delete the entrant's details should be directed to The Promoter. Information will be used in accordance with the Promoter's privacy statements available at http://about.sensis.com.au/legal/privacy.php
  25. If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and, subject to any written directions given by the various Lottery Departments, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
  26. In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders it's determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the event and recommence it from the start on the same conditions subject to State Regulation.
